Friday evening we had friends over, and before they arrived, I 'suggested' that David might want to change his clothes. He was wearing his old faded T-shirt and stained and wrinkled jeans. He said, "this is my house and I'll wear what I want"...... this remark was so unlike anything he would say.
Well, he wore his old clothes, and no one noticed or cared, and he acted great and had fun. Bottom line for me: try not to worry about his clothes.
Friday evening, Saturday, Sunday, and today have been very good days! Today has been a cloudy rainy day, and David is usually depressed on cloudy days, but not today. He sat on our patio watching the rain and sweeping the rain from the sidewalk.
And I say, "thank you God for good days ...what a difference a day makes."

Mornin' Sunshine! I had to chuckle out loud when I saw the wash tubs full of kids. That's how we gave my three sons baths when they were toddlers and we visited Mother in Buffalo, MO at the cabin! Complete with huge deer head over the fireplace. So many warm, wonderful memories.
Glad your gathering went well and David has had good days .....
I'm in constant amazement and awe at how well you take care of David. You AND your blog are more inspiring than you probably know!
I just love all the pics!!
Love you!! L~
