When I did my volunteer work yesterday I picked up the October activity calendar. I was thrilled beyond belief when I saw they are beginning to add activities each evening after dinner. Anything to occupy these precious people before bedtime. I plan on offering my sing-along services at least once or twice a week. Whatever I can manage.
Hi Dolores - I don't think I've been here before. My husband and I are dealing with Alzheimer's with his mother. She's had dementia for a few years, but since his dad passed away in the spring, we've had to find another memory care facility for her. She has good days and not so good days. It's very difficult even with her not living with us. I pray for your sweet husband and my MIL and also for us as caregivers to have strength and perseverance for this road could be a long one. God bless you both.
