This and That

A good week, with no ill effects from the new medicine.   This morning David drank the last sample of the Axona (coconut oil).  It's so new that  our pharmacy didn't have any, and it will take several days for them to have it in stock.  We went to the neurologist's office and received another week's supply, until the pharmacy gets it .........

Yesterday I ask David if he remembered 'so and so and his wife'.   They are old friends of ours,  and he worked for David for many years at Coca Cola.    David said, "oh yes, " (and I was so excited)....... I told him they would be in Seguin on Saturday, and we were going to visit with them.   Then he said, "how do I know them?"     Pooh, I was so excited  for a minute.

I wonder if I'll ever get accustomed to the changes that happen with Alzheimer's.  David can be in a good mood, and in a heart beat,  he can change to anger or depression.     I'm not complaining though, he's in a good mood most of the time.

The cool and refreshing fall weather is making me melancholy,  reminding me of our wonderful travels  we had with Coca Cola many years ago, in September and October.

Shopping in Cyprus

David and his friend in Austria

Milford Sound,  New Zealand

 Shopping in Rhodes, Greece

Switzerland

The reluctant rider in Egypt

Shopping in Turkey

And I say, "thank you God for cooler weather and precious memories."

What wonderful pictures! I pray that the supplement starts working. I know there are those moments that can be so trying and yet there are those too when everything seems like old times. It is something that is so very hard to get used too~ I pray that the Lord would give you the emotional strength to get through the good and bad.
Blessings,
Vikki

Good morning Dolores, What wonderful pictures. Aren't we fortunate to have those to go back through and enjoy the memories once again. I hope the supplement starts to work soon.. This is such a trying time..as much for them as for us. At times I feel at such a loss as what I'm suppose to do next. Mr. P has had 2 good weeks.. yesterday morning was a bit of an oops..but for the most part feeling good. And for that I'm thankful... Thank you for being such a faithful follower and for your entry for the give away basket..good luck my friend.. hugs ~lynne~

Wow, Dolores! Y'all have been around! What a deal to get to travel to all those places. You have more great memories than most people. I'm sure it helps! I'm hoping you find more encouragement in supplements and medications that will prolong the good days. I will pray for that end.
When I get ready to come to visit, I'll let your know and maybe we can go to lunch and look for cans of pumpkin:) Or just some great Tex-Mex. OOH-WEE!
Later, Deb
