A beautiful cool day, it feels like fall, but looks like spring, and it's still short sleeve weather. There's a little color on some of the trees, but mostly green.
Our Duranta is still in full bloom.
David wanted to go for a long walk yesterday, and he put on his GPS. He walked 3.2 miles. I was so proud of him! After the walk, he sat outside and enjoyed the fabulous weather.
Our Thryallis and banana trees are still so pretty
I went to my Garden Club meeting yesterday morning, and while I was gone, a good friend called me. When I walked into the house, David told me that my friend had called. Now... this is a man who has late/moderate Alzheimer's. He amazes me!
Salvia Greggii in bloom
You'll notice the fence is shorter on the backside of our yard, and the little steps you see in the corner are for us to stand on when we are feeding the donkeys across the fence.
And I say, "thank you God for so many good days!!"

Delores, You have a beautiful yard. Oh, a pool. It's hardly ever hot enough up here to swim outside unless you have heated. Very few do:)I joined the Y just to swim.
I'm so glad that David is doing well. Can this be attributed to his new meds? I hope so and I hope it lasts a while. How exciting! Hope you had fun while you were away a little while.
The weather here is cool, cloudy, (was raining) and windy. The trees are bare.
Oh well, this ain't Texas!

Hello there! Home again from a marathon nine day trip (Ohio and Washington DC for a meeting) and it feels so good to read my favorite blogs! Your photos are awesome and I envy your still warm weather with flowers and all the trimmings. Also good to know David is sleeping through the night ~ that may continue ~ it did for my mother. Take care ...........
Your yard looks BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! I can't believe how much it's grown since the last time I was there!!
Love you! L~
Delores,
What a wonderful blog you have! I enjoyed so much looking at your beautiful yard and reading a little about your life with your husband. We lived in a small town halfway between Houston and Austin for five years before coming back to Virginia five years ago. Oh, I loved seeing your lemon tree and your flowers! Thanks for being such a great blogger friend with Mom, and following her site, as you are both going through the same things at this time in your life. Thanks for your sweet comments on my post about Dad's foxhunting. Look forward to visiting you again, and seeing you on the blog as well. God bless you both!
It made me happy to read about David enjoying a nice long walk and then taking time to relax and enjoy that beautiful backyard. Your flowers are gorgeous especially the purple one (I am not familiar with it). It is remarkable that David remembered that you had received a phone call while you were gone. That's wonderful.
