Three weeks and David is still acting/reacting absolutely wonderful!!! No far away, foggy, disconnected looks on his face. No depression. I know in my brain this will not last, but ....for the good times right now....... we're experiencing a blessing.... my cup runneth over!
The doctor said that David is in the middle stage ofAlzheimer's, but there are times like these, when I almost forget about this awful disease...........
I've said this so often, and I'll say it again.......... our little dog adds so much pleasure for David. She's by his side all the time. He takes her walking twice a day, he talks to her and laughs at her silly antics. She's been a gift from God...for both of us.
David can still read! He reads the Wall Street Journal and the San Antonio Express every day. There are so many things he can't do anymore, but as long as he can read, sweep, and walk the dog.......he is occupied.

You 2 are SO photogenic! You have some AWESOME pictures of the 2 of you together.
I wonder if you fully realize what an amazing couple you are????? Both inside ~ and outside!
I look at the recent photo of you and David and I have to say his eyes are not the eyes of someone in the middle stage of Alzheimer's. Fairly early in my mom's disease, there was that disconnected kind of vague look in her eyes .... I just don't see that in David ~ and that is a good thing indeed.
May you have a wonderful Memorial Day this year .....
I SO agree with Jeanne and Helen...all the pictures show a BEAUTIFUL couple!! (And I especially like the one in your short shorts back in the day..haha!! :-))
I'm so glad to hear that U. David is doing well! You are an amazing TEAM!!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday was the last day for the kids...still have to work a few days next week but I already feel like summer has started...Yippeeeeee!
Love you!! L~
