Oh my, .... I told them I'd need a week to think and read about it. The drug is called Bapineuzumab (sounds like it could be good.) After a lot of thought, prayers, and sought out opinions......The answer will be, "no."
Stress really does a number on David! He's doing good right now, and the thought of putting him through hours of testing/questions....an hour drive over there each way. I really don't think he/we could do it. I feel the stress would be too hard on him. Each time he goes to the neurologist, and he ask David if he can do a little test, David says, " no." The test makes him feel like a failure.... I can't imagine 4 or 5 hours of testing for him.......
For now, we'll enjoy one minute, one hour or one day at a time.
Last week there was a birthday party for David, with our son and 2 of the grandchildren.

And I say, "thank you God ....... for a good life"

... and I say, good decision Ms. Dolores, good decision. Have a wonderful week.
I like the way you think.
Looks like Kayla likes the pool, too!
Good morning Dear Heart, I'm so glad to hear David is doing well right now. So his Bill. I agree the stress is so hard on them and I hate when I've had to put Bill through such an ordeal. Our last visit to the neurologist he also said no more tests. It breaks my heart to see him go through such trama and to come out feeling as if he's failed in some way. I "try" to stay up beat about it and push forward. (not that it's always easy) I love the photos of your family and all the happy times going on..they are priceless. Girl, I would "gladly" send some rain your way, We had over 6" yesterday and they are calling more "heavy" rains and storms this evening. The poor farmers around here are screaming for dry weather.. I hope you have a terrific day today darling...
hugs ~lynne~
THANK YOU Aunt Dolores for coming by Ann's. She is such a sweet soul and it was a long day waiting for the phone call. You are so sweet and I hope you get to "meet" her when she gets home!
I love you so VERY MUCH!!! Thank you again!! L~
(Pray for me tomorrow! Ha! :-))
Oh...and tell Jeff I hope he has a good year! :-)
You look so pretty in the picture! And David still smiles, and walks without a cane. He should smile. He gets to look at a beautiful woman every day!!
Hi Dolores, I think you made the correct decision, also.If he is settled and happy now, why rock the boat. Love your pictures.
I would agree with the others in thinking that you made the right decision.
Great pictures and it is good to see that you are all able to enjoy some summer fun. I think the picture of David and the dog in the pool is precious.
Hi sweetie, how's it going your way? We spent the day at the doctors office and they have ordered 4 more tests.. we're getting pretty discouraged by all of it.. But for the most part Mr. P is doing well and that's all that matters.. I hope you're having a good week as well..
hugs ~lynne~
It sounds like you have made the right decision ...your family is beautiful and the dogs and cat are beautiful....Do you think that animals are helpful with David? They have such a calming effect on me that it seems they would.
Encouragement and prayers are being sent to you by our family!!!
