Our Treasured Snow Picture and One More Nativity

We've had a wonderful Christmas with our children, grandchildren and friends!!!
As I  hear about snow in other parts of the country,  I want to share this beautiful snow scene, which is one of my greatest treasures!
My aunt, who was also like my second mother, ......... painted this beautiful snow scene on a piece of glass (70 years ago).    She didn't have a piece of canvas, only glass.....She  painted two pictures in her life.    Her daughter has one and I have this one......
No snow in Seguin, Texas.... but I can look at this beautiful snow scene ....and imagine.

I had to buy one more Nativity set..... it's so beautiful, and on sale ....15% off..... how could I resist?

And I say, "thank you God for Jesus, our children, grandchildren and friends!"

Hello there! I just love the way the paint on glass creates the perfect snow scene. She was truly talented! I thought about you and your family on Christmas Day .... glad it was a good one!

What a beautiful picture. No one would have guessed only that your aunt had only painted two pictures. Love the new Nativity. I collect them also~ So glad you had a good Christmas. I thank the Lord for you and my blogging friends!
Blessings,
Vikki

I clicked on the picture to enlarge it. Your aunt was incredibly talented! It is a beautiful picture, to be sure, and painted on glass! That's not easy. It'a amazing that she didn't paint more with all that talent. I know you're glad to have it. I could enjoy a picture like that too during the winter. Warm on the inside:D
Yes, I did miss my daughter more than she could imagine, but I tried not to make a big deal of it. I was glad to hear that they were both a little homesick on Christmas Day. Guess we did something right!
Thanks Dolores,
Debbie

The snow painting is beautiful! And you are a pretty lady! My mother had Alzheimers, it is difficult. I am so glad that she has gone on to her reward--she is worshipping the Lord and I am so happy for her. I miss her, and like to think about her, and look forward to seeing her again.

I am happy to hear that you had a nice Christmas.
The painting your aunt did is just beautiful and how special that you are the owner of one of her two paintings. I enlarged it to check it out closer. I admire people who are gifted with such talent.
Your new nativity is beautiful too.

I wanted to go to the cantata the Methodist Church was performing but that was the morning I woke up to the street in front of my house looking like an ice skating rink. And, I don't ice skate!!
