A very good day! If you thought of me and prayed for me, I thank you very much!!
I left the house at 8:00am (trying not to be nervous) Linda arrived early, and David was happy to see her. I only called home twice, and thankfully all was well. I arrived home at 5:00pm. Not only did Linda visit with David, but she also dusted, vacuumed and mopped. I'm so excited to know how well the day went for each of us!
This is the longest I've been away from David for several years. The first time was a bit scary for me, but now I know I/we can do this.
Linda said she'd love to come anytime I needed her, so ....... I'm going to try and get away for a couple of hours each week.
I went with friends from my Garden Club to Luckenbach and lunch in Fredericksburg. The home in Luckenbach was so interesting and beautiful. The pictures show only part of the beauty....I loved it... and I wasn't driving... Yea!!
And I say, "thank you God!!!"

Now you know there is another part of life for you to embrace ... one that takes nothing from David ... but enhances yours and makes you an even better partner and wife. This is wonderful. Thank you so much for wishing me a speedy recovery. I removed the pressure bandage today and though it's certainly not a pretty sight, I think with time it will be OK. Right now, it hurts to smile ....
Praise God! I am so very happy for you. You need time to refresh and get out with some friends...we all need that fellowship. I am very thankful to hear all went well.

Congratulations, Dolores, on stepping out and having some fun! I'm so thankful that God allowed you a sweet person to care for David in your absence and that he was fine with your being gone for a few hours. Yeah! I'm so glad it all worked out for you and David and you had a great time with friends! Your friend that stayed with David and cleaned is a real jewel! And... one of your photos just gave me an idea in my garden. The little pond you have gave me the idea to made a circle with my rocks and set a pot inside it with a plant. And here you didn't even know you were also going to give me gardening tips!
