Yesterday was another birthday celebration, this time with our daughter, her husband and 4 of their children. David was relaxed and enjoyed the day~
He was pampered by our daughter, who gave him a much needed haircut. The children had fun playing in the pool, and having a tea party.
The card that Karen chose for her dad was perfect for him, and I know she looked at many a card before she found the right one. I have to share the sentiments:
Sometimes I take it for granted that you know how I feel, but today I want to make sure you know what an important part of my life you are.....
You've always been understanding and patient with me. You've helped me to see that by trying hard, I was doing my best. But most of all, I've always known I could depend on your love and support....no matter what.
That has given me a special kind of confidence...something that can't be measured in ordinary terms...And on your birthday, if I could give you anything in return for all you've given me, it would have to be the love I always hold in my heart for you.
And I say, "thank you God for a wonderful day!"
