It was a very good day!!!
I was a bit apprehensive how David would react and interact with 17 here on Thanksgiving day, but he was better than I hoped and prayed for.
I feel extremely blessed that our family could spend Thanksgiving together with David.

Such a beautiful picture of a beautiful couple. I'm so glad to hear he did well with so many there. Our's was small and fairly quiet so Mr. P had a good day as well... sending you lots of hugs.. ~lynne~
Dolores, I am so thankful that your day with your family was a good one. That is such a great picture of you and David. He has the nicest smile. I always look for his smile in the photos you post. I know that things must be going good. Many hugs

I'm so glad your day was a good one! Even if David doesn't remember everyone, everyone remembers David, and that's a good thing!!
I hope you didn't wear yourself out with 17 people there!! I always think it's a hassle with just us three!!
yes! and we thank God again for the good times.
Wonderful that everyone could gather. I think of the hymn, "We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing. . . . He forgets not His own."
Remembering you all.
Hugs,
Carol

A sweet ( bittersweet ?) picture of the two of you, and the picture of your daughter and David. It is very good news to read of you having a good time together, truly the name of the day "Thanksgiving" is apt.Praise God for His mercies and blessings.
Amen !!
Love the photos !!
MIL finally moving into a nursing home tomorrow.... I am happy and sad all at the same time... its like turning a page in my big book of life.I will miss her but just thinking of the freedom gives me reason to smile.Sounds selfish.... I know... but walk a mile in my shoes and see how it feels. That's what I tell them all.

Your place is so pretty! Glad you had a great Thanksgiving--truly one more thing to be thankful for!
Dolores, this is my first visit to your blog but I will follow you now. My FIL had Altzheimers and my BIL lives with hiom and takes care of him.....WONDERFUL care of him. All the A's patients are so blessed to have people like you and my BIL to care for them!! God will bless you for sure! I took care of my Mother, here in my home for 5 years before she passed away. She didn't have A's but was very ill with Hearty and lung diseases. So, I have a SMALL idea of how hard it is. I will kep you both in my thoughts and prayers!!!! XO, Pinky I started a blog a few weeks ago and would LOVE for you to come visit if you get a chance!
Pardon me whilst I break into spontaneous praise:
Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all creatures, here below,
Praise Him above ye heavenly host,
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost!!
I am so happy for your wonderful Thanksgiving Day. You look so cute in your turquoise and brown and bare feet next to David. Makes my heart sing (as you undoubtedly noticed!!).
XO
