Christmas 1987 .... young couples...before our grandchildren....sweet memories.
I love nativity sets! This is the newest one....a grand total of 17 adorning our home during this blessed Christmas season.
============
So.......I'm thinking more of what David can wear when we go to Church or a party. Tucked in shirts are difficult because he can't manage a belt anymore.
During the winter months....a sweater is good, as long as there isn't a shirt tail sticking out from under the sweater. I'm going on line and buy him a couple of Guayabera shirts, they are made to be on the outside of the pants.....no belt required... Yea!
At home we don't have a problem, he wears jeans and T-shirts or sweat shirts.....no belts.
Life goes on, and each hour is a new and different 'adventure'.......
Tomorrow will be the first day for David to take the 23mg of Aricept. We've had the prescription for some time, but needed to finish off what he had. He's been taking 10 in the morning and 10 in the evening. Tomorrow will be the one 23mg pill in the evening.
And I say, "thank you God for this blessed time of year and so many blessings."

I pray the 23mg of Aricept works out okay.

Glad to see you are changing to the full button front shirts :) Best wishes, Jenny
fingers crossed on the shirt, I truly know what you go through with the clothes. sweats, pull on pants, etc. I am starting to hate pockets.
Your nativity set is beautiful. I deorate with nativity scenes. I don't believe in decorating with Santa.
Love how you always move forward, Dolores. You are off to find what David will wear and be comfortable in.
I love the pictures of your family . As the keeper and passer down of important memories, these pictures you have posted are most precious. The years really do go swiftly by don't they?I am all the more thankful God allows us one day at a time, for if I were to know what the future held as I glimpse our happy faces in pictures of times gone by, well, I do not think I would have enjoyed those times as much.Yet looking back, I realize how very blessed we were, and ARE~
You and David are blessed.David's condition is not a surprise to God, and He knew you would be the best for David - way back when, and David the best for you.He has promised He will not give you more than you're able to bear...I am praying you know and feel this.
I hope the prescription also makes a big difference for you both.
I forgot to say, the Nativity is very beautiful, and your solutions for David's wardrobe are very practical and becoming for David.
Such a cute picture! I love that you share these wonderful moments with us!
Love the shirt, very stylish and practical. Finding clothes, etc that work can be difficult but this is a great solution.
I love the old nativities, I have one that was my family's.
Hang in there, sounds like you are doing great! Love your positive outlook! I bet it makes a big difference in your day to day routine!
I do hope it is a smooth transition for the new dosage!!! Loved the photo of your family. You never think about clothes for someone who is sick until you're faced with the dilemma...Wishing you a beautiful weekend!!!
So fortunate to have pictures recording the happy moments from other years! So smart to keep taking pictures throughout. I look back at pictures of my mom in her last years and though she was frail and often frustrated, I know now that those were good years too.
What a Gorgeous family! Pretty babies, Girl!!
My hubby might like those shirts as well.. Maybe I'll try the Internet.
Hope he does well on the 23mg... Nicer taking the whole thing at night.
Loving you today Sweetheart!
God Bless us, each and every one....

Your newest nativity is beautiful! I ahve a gorgeous Hummel nativity that I TREASURE!!!! We collected it over several years and I just love putting it out every year! The shirt solution sounds good, but don't you know that all the young guys have their shirt hanging out below their sweatshirt?:):) He would be SO "stylin":):) I so admire you, that you can see the bright side almost every day and still be grateful. God bless you!!!!!!! XO, Pinky
My Mother was just prescribed the Aricept 23 yesterday. She's AGAINST taking it. She said it should't be out, anyone who takes it is a guinea pig and it will kill her. I don't know if we'll get her to take it. The neurologist said if she tolerates it for 4 weeks he will add Namenda. I've read such good things about the combination. Please post how the 23 works for you.
Dolores, over the past six months, you have been so kind and so interested in my cultural background. I just want to tell you how much I enjoy yours. The Christmas tree in your photo is gorgeous!
I pray the pill works. It did slow my moms down. Good luck. And I love nativety scenes too.
Hmmm... actually a rather cool looking shirt!
I love the shirt!! I think he'll look mighty dashing in it!! :-)
Love you!! L~
The 'children' look so young and so fresh-faced. It is an amazing time, isn't it? The time one's offspring begin to really launch into adulthood is just a roller coaster!
At least that's how it feels for me. lol
Such a precious memory. Thanks for sharing it with us.
