How time flies! The year was 2003...... I had the honor/privilege of going to China with our daughter and her family to bring two year old Ellie to her forever home.
2003, the same year David retired and also the same year I was having scary suspicions that something was wrong with David; hoping and praying it wasn't what I was suspecting.
Ellie was 10 years old on Saturday and our daughter, Karen... was 44.... on Monday. The family came on Saturday and we celebrated their birthdays.
Shame on me, I didn't take a picture, but I'm digging out pictures from the past, and that's okay.
Ellie is such a sweet and smart girl, and a gifted artist.... we're so proud of her!
I've posted this picture in a previous post of David playing tea party with Ellie.... and the tea was too hot.

Hi Dolores - you have such a sweet set of little grands! They are precious. Ellie did such a good job on her artwork. She certainly has talent. I hope she'll continue to work on that!!!

This is great--enjoying the moment with your family and celebrating birthdays for the ten year old now in her forever family and her 44 year old mother. How many children have they adopted? Do they all live close by? What an artist also!
Glad David could enjoy the haircut. My husband's daughter sometimes gives him a haircut and I know it is a special father/daughter time.
