**********THANKING GOD!***********

I try to post once a week, but I can't help myself right now... I'm posting again.    David is still doing so good....I  need to celebrate....and say, "thank you God!"

I know it won't last, but ....for now......I love, cherish and hold these good days so close to my heart, and again.... I say, "thank you God for these days of remembrance for me!"

David, his sister Norma and the baby.... Sandi (they're so precious!)
Two weeks ago I thought we were on the downhill slide of our Alzheimer journey.
I love these surprises along the way!!!   Good days, when you're thinking there might not be any more ....

David was so good the week before the wedding.... he was outstanding at the wedding.... and this week....we've talked, laughed, gone to Olive Garden.... and there are times that I almost forget about Alzheimer's.   I don't know what tomorrow brings, but.... I thank God for the good days!!!

Yes, enjoy all the good days. I guess it's important to live in the moment and not think too far ahead.

What a sweet picture of David with his sisters.
How wonderful that David is doing so well. I am so happy for you to have been able to laugh and have fun and the best part is "almost forgetting about Alzheimer's". I hope it lasts and lasts.
Hugs to both of you,
Kim

I love reading these good and thankful posts. They remind me the every day moments that make up our lives are each and every one of them precious, and to be able to share them with your husband of many years when you thought such times were over, well, very precious. God is so good.

Love this news! You are a wonderful wife to him also, Dolores. "A worthy wife is a crown for her husband," I read this morning in Proverbs 12:4.

Oh, Dolores....the last post about your grand-daughter's wedding was heartwarming....but THIS one made me cry!! God always seems to 'show up' loud and clear at times like this....just in case we think He's abandoned us. Yes: Blessings indeed. I'm SO very happy for you! xoxoxoxoxo

Very precious and perhaps you can allow yourself to just enjoy such wonderful moments without much thought of tomorrow. God's so good. Sounds as if that wedding did David a world of good. Hope that your week has kept right on going great!

Thank you God is right. It's true we only have moments so we must take good care of those moments and enjoy. That's what I do with my hubby, he almost cannot walk at all now and that's with a brace on his leg and a right hand walker, the other side is paralyzed.
Many hugs,
Lu

Oh, isn't God good? I have been enjoying some good days too. Everyday I am grateful for this day. I truly believe there are blessings in this, it makes me truly live in the moment. I have also learned to accept grief when it comes, and truly shout to the Lord when the good days arrive.
