PRAISING GOD FOR GOOD DAYS!

David is still loving the old classic country music station on TV.   It's so amazing how this has added so much pleasure for him everyday.   I turn it on after he eats breakfast, and he claps his hands to the beat of the music, holds one hand up and claps his leg... or he snaps his fingers.   He does this for hours each day.

(Note in the picture below, he's concentrating so hard on the music, with tongue sticking out.   The TV screen is in front of him, with only the picture of the performer and titles on the screen, but he watches it so closely).

When I interrupt him and there's a song he's loving, he'll tell me he's busy with his work.   I praise God for music!

How good it is when you're blessed with  friends who bring all the delicious food for our 4th of July  festivities, and then play 'big pink ball' in the pool.   The 'big pink ball' is still a big hit with David.   He loves throwing it back and forth.
We're going through a very good period of time, other than bathroom issues from time to time.
I'm so thankful for these good days!!!!!

Yes, thank God for music.. I am so happy David still enjoys it.

Reminds me of a time when Elbert could still go places but was losing himself so fast, we boarded a plane for a short trip to our daughters and as soon as the plane lifted off the ground Elbert started singing 'We are off to see the Wizard'. Those were great times.

Isn't it amazing what music can do? I'm so happy that David is stable in "Happy Mode"!

Are you still getting out and taking care of yourself? Did you get your hair cut? I like it!

Hope you had a wonderful 4th!

Music is such a gift and how wonderful that David is enjoying it so very much. As for the "bathroom issues from time to time" oh the indignities of being human!

So glad that you had a wonderful holiday. You're looking particularly fetching and David looks so happy. Everyone looks happy!

How wonderful that David is still enjoying music and that big pink ball. Also wonderful that his friends and family are able to think up these good ideas to make him happy.
Your 4th of July pictures are great. It looks like a fun day and that pool looks so pretty and refreshing.

So good to read this. My husband and I like music and we sing "Side By Side" together often. Last week we sang it for the ladies a the desk in our chiropractor's office!

Oh Dolores, I'm so happy to see these photos of David enjoying his music! That's great that it holds his interest for so long! I think it's wonderful - it doesn't matter that he calls it his work - actually it kind of IS his work right now and it's keeping him occupied. Praise God - you're right!

Dolores, I'm so glad to hear that you are continuing to have good days with David. So interesting about the music - as you know, music was a big part of my late father's life and it also continued to hold his interest well into the advanced stage of his Alzheimer's Disease. I was always amazed that he could continue to sing long after he started to have trouble speaking.

Your pool is spectacular - enjoy it!

Love
Gilda

What a beautiful thing music is, it gives us comfort and enjoyment and marks the chapters of our lives. He looks like he is so enjoying his music.

That pool looks very inviting. It's finally gotten summer hot here in Massachusetts. We have a short summer, but there's always time for a swim.

Have a beautiful weekend. My mom lives in Vermont. This weekend there is a hot air balloon festival in Stowe. I will go up for the day with my camera in tow.

Now that is my kinda cement pond....giggle... That pool looks so refreshing on a hot day.

GOD bless and keep you all safe and may he continue to bless you with good days.

I'm rejoicing with you, too! God is so kind to give us 'breaks' from the battle allowing us to catch our breath. Did you notice that your husband and the other man in the red shirt at the table both had the same smile? Cute!

I'm such a lover of music. I grew up singing in church and met my beloved because of music (he was in choir at college with my sister and he thought I was her...gasp!). I hope one day it will help save me, too!

You are SOOOO incredibly lovely.
