Until we meet again my sweet friend....

I received word this morning that a very dear and special friend of mine died of cancer.   She was 92, I'm 71.... my best friend is 49...... we were the best of buddies/friends.    We met on a spiritual walk (a Walk to Emmaus) in 1994....  We traveled to Israel ....we ate together on Wednesday nights at our local Mexican food restaurant.  We shared our joys, concerns, wine and prayers with one another.   Eighteen years doesn't sound very long.... but... it has  been a life time for this little country girl.

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that I won't have my precious friend in my life.   I always knew she was there for me  (like my second mother) .... she didn't judge me ... she accepted me for who I am.    I will miss her so much already!

However,  I'm so happy to know she's whole again.....  cancer and congestive heart failure all gone.   She is whole again.
Friends are such a blessing!!!  She loved our sweet Casey.    Any friend of Casey's is a friend of mine.
Please excuse the bare feet....
God has blessed me with friends ......

I say, "thank you God for Jay"   ....     God is good !!
Rest in peace my sweet friend.... I love you!!!

My deepest condolences go out for you dearest friend. Like I once said..friends are a blessing and our very best gift in life and they are "not imposed, they're chosen by us." Your friend is whole now and in a beautiful place, with no more suffering. The pictures are wonderful and they say a "thousand words" about your friendship with such a lovely lady.
Love,

Delores, I am so sorry that your friend has left your side, but I know that she will be your friend of your heart. I know that she must have filled so many of the voids that were made as David has faded. God often puts friends in our world, so that they can be a comfort to us when we need them most.

Dolores,
I am so sorry for your loss. It is evident through your pictures that you 3 ladies shared a lot of fun times together. I admire the way you formed close friendships despite your age differences.
May your happy memories of good times spent together help to comfort you now.

Dear Delores,
Sorry of your friend passing but like you say . She is in the peace of the Lord not suffering. Nice pictures you have shared. Thank you. Lots of wonderful memories. God puts people in our lives for a reason. We do have the choice to have then as true keepers or just have them as an aquaintance of a friend. She was a real keeper for you. Now the Lord wanted her . He seen what she has gone through on earth and now is a enough and it was his will for her to leave earth. He wanted her to himself. We are all lent here. If we can accept that. Then the parting with friends is much lighter. I loss my friends real young. Since being a Christian. I know it was Gods time not mine for them to stay longer. He took them so young. Family members of mine went young. I miss them dearly but I know they are in a better place. A place I could never give them. Peace like the Lord. His peace is eternal.

hugs
Delores

Trying to wrap the mind around the loss of a dear friend is one of life's greatest challenges. May you be comforted and, yes, part of that comfort is to know that one fine day you will meet again. God is good to give us such beautiful friends.

It is difficult to fathom not seeing some one we love anylonger but knowing where they are and knowing we will see them again makes me feel a bit better... I have lost and I do miss them dearly and that tugs at my heart but, I know they are seeing things much more beautiful than I can imagine.

Prayers the lord will lift your spirits to know you will see her again.

Delores,
Thank you for sharing a quick look at your friend, and thank you for always looking at the eternal side of situations. Knowing our loved ones suffer no more is comforting.

My best friend is 71, and I am 54. She's always been so glad when we are in adjoining decades! She has been my mentor on so many levels for 31 years, and your post reminds me that true friendship goes beyond all barriers.

Praying for your strength and comfort.

So sorry to hear this Deloras but to live to 92 in relatively good health to the end is amazing! P.S....it must have been a typo...there is no way in the world you are 71 years old...impossible!!
