I'm reminiscing.
I'm trying to flood my brain with pictures of David before Alzheimer's entered our lives. I feel so much better when I look at pictures!!!!

After David died my precious niece posted this picture of David on Face Book . The picture was taken after her wedding in 1998. What a blessing it is for me when I look at my beloved David in this picture!

David was blessed to walk three beautiful women down the aisle, and to have a final dance with his granddaughter, Francie.
David and our daughter, Karen - 1987.
David and our niece, Laura..... 1998.
David and our best friend, Nelwyn - 2000.
David and our granddaughter, Francie 2011.
Looking at pictures and remembering the good times is so very healing. Thank you for indulging me!!!
God is good!!

Loved seeing all these photos... David looks happy and must have felt honored to have been asked to play this role so many times. (Love your daughter's dress most especially.)
... and there you are! Wonderful.
Very precious pictures of David, Dolores. I can see why these happy memories are dear to you.
Just this week I have been trying to make sense of the piles of photos my mom left behind. At times it's been sad, but for the most part a good reminder of the many happy years of her life before the dreaded Alzheimer's diagnosis.
Thinking of you and holding you close in prayer.
XO,
Kim

What a handsome man! Have you thought of making quilts (or small lovie blankets) for you and maybe the grandkids from his favorite shirts? I know I wasn't sure about it, it took me awhile, but I'm glad I did.
Take care of yourself.
Still Praying.

I think of you often these past days and pray you are doing well Dolores. I enjoyed looking at your lovely pictures and so thankful you have good memories to ponder. Much love and affection.. and prayers as always.. for God's enormous grace to surround you like a cocoon.
Thank you darling for your sweet visit. How are you? Is everything safe by you with the storm situation?..hope so. What are you doing these days and are you thinking about anything you'll like to do later? You have plenty of time for it just the same, but just asking, I always think about you and you are always in my prayers. Hope you have a nice week, specially a safe one in your area. Big hugs,

How beautiful, Dolores! I love those pictures. I hope when Mum passes away, I can flood my mind with images of her before she became ill.
the smile on David's face must bring such a tug and a hug to your heart. A special man to so many.
Love the new title of your blog--Me, Moving Forward--and that Joshua 1:9 comforting verse.

Your new pic is lovely too. I adore the photos, they are such treasure you have, as they show the love you shared with your dear David as your hubby and loving your adorable kids. I can just imagine how happy and blisstful your life must have been...and that is a blessing from our Lord. Like I said before..David is preparing home for his loved ones that will go later where he is living a constant happiness, without interruptions, as is in this plane.
