I consider friendship as one of God's great gifts to HIS children. There are many levels of friendship, and each friend has a special place in my heart. I feel so blessed to have two very special friends that I can share my heart with,..... whether it be good times or bad times. I know there's no judgment, only love and concern. I truly do not know how I would have survived the past 4 1/2 years without the listening ears and caring hearts of these two friends.
Today is the 90th birthday of my very special friend, Jay. Nelwyn, Jay, and me met in July 1994 on a Walk to Emmaus (church type retreat.) ...We connected at this time, and we've been the best of friends from 1994 until today....
Here we are celebrating the 4th of July together......and also eating at our local Mexican food restaurant, which we've done each Wednesday night for years.
Each night before we go to bed, Jay and I e-mail one another the high-light of our day, which we call our "moment." I know at times it seems redundant, but it makes each of us think about something positive for the day, but most of all it keeps us connected.
And I say, "thank you God for my friends!"

What a blessing from God to have dear friends like that! I think He gives us best friends to be the hands and heart and eyes of His own self to love us through our ups, downs, heartaches and celebrations of life. I myself am very blessed to also have a couple of dear friends like yours. May you all have many, many more years together, Dolores!
Yes...Thank you God for friends! They make our journey though this life sooo sweet.

What a nice way to finish your days with your "moment" e-mails. That is a great idea.
Friends really are a blessing and it looks like you have some very special ladies who are your friends.
