I love this picture of Ellie and David coloring a picture together!
I painted with oils and water colors in the 70's and 80's, and maybe someday I will paint again. I've tried to encourage David to color or paint, with NO positive results.... David has NEVER been artistic in any way at all,..... he's a 'number's guy'. Never say, "never".... Our grand-daughter spent the week with us, and she ask if her Pope would color with her?????.......... OH my, ....never..never...., but when she ask him...... here they are......... coloring a picture .
God is GOOD!

Dolores,
I loved this post! To see David with your little grandaughter just warmed my heart. I am so grateful for how God is continuing to keep this awful disease from progressing. So many good things come to us from the hand of our Lord and how easily we can overlook something as simple as a coloring book. I tell you, God uses children for more than bringing us happiness. Sometimes they are the gateway to the blessings of God.
Thank you for your kind comments on my last post. It means so much to hear from you.
Blessings to you and David today.
In Grace,
Marie
Wonderful. Having your grandbaby there must of been great. They look so contented. You can hang there picture on the Refrig. to enjoy for always.
Arn't Grands delightful? And exhausting!
Papa is more interactive with them now. LOL, I still have a drawing form Halloween on my Fridge.
You and David are in my daily prayers.
hugs, judi
Such a sweet picture of Ellie and dad! I am so glad that Ellie was able to persuade her Pope into coloring with her.
I have such fond memories of coloring with dad. He didn't do it often and never was very good at it, but I do remember how he'd let me choose which color to use (because of his color blindness). I also remember when you would color with me and how I wished I could color as beautifully as you did :-)
I am so glad that dad is still able to make good memories for his grandchildren.
Ellie had a wonderful time visiting y'all! Thanks for having her over and making her feel special!
Love,
Karen
What a wonderful moment. I am glad you were able to capture that...Christine
Oh Sweets...I love this. When I was a little girl every once in awhile my daddy would color with me. I remember he use to bear down with his crayons and his coloring was always bright and vivid! I always favored soft pastels as a child.
This picture made me smile BIG! My hubby is a numbers guy, too. He can do anything with measurements (fences, buildings, shelves, cabinets, etc.) but I have to tell him first what it is I want and be specific with the details or he ends up mico-managing everything. ahhahah
Thank you so much for sharing. A blessed moment indeed!
Love, Rebecca
What a sweet picture of Uncle David and Ellie!
I talked with Mama earlier...I hope you're doing okay...
I love you!!!! L~
Beautiful pictures, Dolores. I'm not sure why, but the first one brought tears to my eyes. Very touching. I always enjoy watching children interact with grandparents. Your granddaughter is adorable.
Those are wonderful photos, to be treasured in the years to come. David looks like he's really concentrating. Yes, the 'number types' usually are not creative. I'm creative and I'm definately NOT a 'number type'. Your home looks so comfortable and tastefully decorated. Thanks for stopping and commenting on my blog, I've been kind of involved in other things lately and have been neglecting to visit blogs.
