Animals and Alzheimer's

This beautiful plant and stand was a Mother's Day Gift to me from our son and his family.
This is what I woke up to one morning this week.......kittens playing in my 'previously' beautiful plant.

The last thing on earth I thought we needed....
kittens.   Yikes!
However,   ........Look at the smile on David's face as he sits on the patio watching the kittens play.
Our son's family will take two, and we're keeping the the Mama and one kitten.   We had Mama kitty 'fixed' this week, and lo and behold, she was already pregnant.  This is proof positive how important the spay/neuter program is for animals.  The kittens are only 7 or 8 weeks old, and she was a couple of weeks pregnant already!     No more kittens for her..........

Another smile........When our daughter's family was here for Mother's Day, David enjoyed helping his namesake David,  feed a carrot to Henry the donkey.
We've had a good week!     And I say, "thank you God for animals that make David smile."

Man, mama cat likes the men cats! That pic of the kittens in the plant is priceless...but I must ask...you have a donkey?

That Momma cat is FRISKY! :) I'm soo glad you had her fixed. I have a Yorkie and when she was two I had her spayed. Guess what they found? An undetected growth on one of her little ovaries. Our Vet said having her fixed saved her life. It would have ultimately taken her life if we had not...

I'm so happy to see David smile! Yes, God is good.

These pictures really make me smile too. Watching kittens play has to make even the biggest curmudgeon laugh and smile and what a pleasant way to relax! Except for the plant destruction!

David really does seem to love the animal and grandson interaction and this so illustrates the therapeutic and calming effect of pet therapy in nursing homes and institutions.

Happy, happy pictures!

The kitties are so cute but I understand how destructive they are...David does look so happy...so enjoy!!! Sorry I haven't been so visiting but everything is so busy here...sending wishes to you granddaughter...

I'm so glad David has things he can enjoy. A litter of kittens can easily make one smile; all that stalking and hopping around grabbing anything that moves:) Sorry about the plant; they were just exploring new playthings!
