Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon him your heart’s deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto him as long as you both shall live?
I do and I will!!!
May 24th, 1963.......Oh my, ...... 47 years ago..........
We've been blessed with a wonderful life together!!!
Right now ..... it isn't what I'd hoped and dreamed our life would be at this time in our life, but I can reflect back on all the wonderful times we've had together.....and, how can I complain? I can't ...... and...... I won't!
GOD IS GOOD!!!
And I say, "thank you God ...... for 47 wonderful years.... with the man of my dreams!"....

Well then 47 CONGRATULATIONS to you two, Dolores!!! And thank you both for setting such a good example to many people of how once united in the Lord, that two people can make it through life together!
What a beautiful bride and handsome groom! You said it well and sweetly, God is good! You are blessed, both of you, and through you, so are your beautiful children and grandchildren!

In answer to your question, yes, that light green container IS a cracker tin. Vintage green and it's got this little clear knob on the top with some kind of absorbent stuff in it to keep the crackers fresh. I'm sure it's long gone, but I keep my instant coffee, creamer & Spenda packets in it - just for ME!
Hoping you and your beloved have a wonderful day together!!!
Happy Memorial Day Sweetheart! I'll let you know about the mosquito thingy...Hope it Does work!Hahaa

Somehow I missed this when you first published it. Congratulations on 47 years. That is so wonderful. You are so right about those vows. We say them, and then we hopefully live them. You are heading into a tough period and my thoughts are with you. I am sure you are leaning on our dear precious Lord as you continue to travel along.
My husband has not worked for many years, and even though it was hard and aggravating at times, I remembered those vows, for better, for worse. Of course, we never missed a payment, never went without food, and now we are leasing that amazing apartment in San Francisco. God takes very good care of us and I pray He will continue to do so for all of us.
what a testimony to God's grace and your commitment to one another and your vows. congrats to a dear couple (and family who reaps the benefits)
You have a great looking family...
