**********A NEW BOOK*********

Remember the problem with Blogger several weeks ago?     I became concerned about losing my blog.   I 'thought' for a few minutes of printing my blog, but quickly decided that would be a lot of trouble and it would be a large stack of papers.
I started looking for a company that would print my blog.  I don't mind giving free advertising to the company I chose,   because... I'm so pleased and happy with my blog book.  http://sharedbook.com
Someone might wonder, why  would anyone want to save the chronicle of a  life with Alzheimer's??????    All I can say, this is our life, and among the stress and sadness, we're having a lot of good days, and I don't want to forget.............
I've posted so many pictures throughout the 2 years and 5 months since I've been blogging Moving Forward with Alzheimer's.   Now I have a book chronicling our life during this time........

I'll have volume II when I've accumulated more pages....
Our book has 215 pages, an index, and it was better  quality than I expected.   After placing my order on line, we received the book in a week and a half.

Praise God we've had two good weeks, with only a couple of not so good days/nights thrown in.

It looks beautiful and I can only imagine the joy it'll bring to your family to sit down with a book in hand. Dare I ask how pricey it was?

So smart of an idea. Were all the pictures in color? Did they do editing? How many copies did they produce--enough for your kids?

Now that is a nice looking coffee table book. I'm sure your family will be so happy that you thought to do this.
So glad to hear that you've been having good days. I hope it continues.

I'll take a look at the link... I wonder if it is less expensive than 'Blurb your book'?

I think the book was a great idea!

I hope you're able to get a good night's sleep most nights. I know when my dad was still living in NJ and would come to visit I wouldn't sleep well because the last couple of visits he seemed to have trouble finding the bathroom. We'd leave all the lights on and I'd still find him wandering up and down the hallway. This was before I realized how bad he was getting. He was living in NJ by himself at the time!

We so think alike. Since I had discontinued my Journey Through Alzheimers blog I did not want to lose it and have been investigating having it done into a book. I love the look of yours. Will look into that company as well.

Dolores, I am so sorry it is so dry around there...and many parts of the country! I am sorry to tell you it is POURING rain here right now. My neighbor just came up to see all the plants she is going to water for me while we are away so she won't need to come now for a few days! Hope today is a GOOD day for you and David. XO, Pinky

Dolores,
Wow, you read my mind. I was thinking about that this week too. OMG I have 777 posts I have written.

Your book looks wonderful, and I am so glad that you memorized your blog in hard copy. You are so smart.

I am going to look at that site, thanks for sharing it.

You are forever an inspiration to me.

Karen

P.S. I haven't posted in a while, because I have been busy getting ready for an art show next weekend.

I am so glad you ordered your blog book, Dolores. I am so pleased with mine too. I have 2 books now, the first 8 months of my blogging divided by 2. I think it is a very good archive of our hard work and after I am gone, I know my kids will treasure them. Love your covers. My granddaughter AJ saw the first one and was already asking me if she could have it, lol...Christine

Now this is an awesome way to keep a journal, make a book. I love it and good to know they did a good job on something so precious.

Thank you for your continued prayers and I send them back to you as well.

I had Blogger do my blog too, well, the year I posted the most, and am very happy with my book.I think it is well worth everyone who keeps family photos and stories to blog, and then publish, even if you keep your blog private. Somehow , scrap-booking did not come near to what I could do with Blogger.Maybe the automatic editing helps a lot and makes it easier, besides, it looks better than most scrap-booking. I don't think you'll ever regret your book, nor will your family.
